Tasting notes: Important layer of cardinal purple color. On the nose it is spicy with notes of chocolate and green pepper. On the palate it is voluminous with a refreshing acidity, velvety tannins and a long persistence.

Soil: Vineyard planted at a height of 565 meters above sea level in southern exposure terraces in the Najerilla Valley, with clay-calcareous soils with a high iron content and pebbles.
Elaboration: After being destemmed, the grapes are placed in new 500-liter French Tronçais oak barrels in which they undergo alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation and aging. The wine remains in the barrels with the fermentation lees for 8 months.
Aging: 8 months in new French Tronçais oak barrels of 500 liters capacity
Harvest: Manual harvest in 17 kg boxes. From these vineyards 5,500 kg are obtained per hectare.
Climate: With a marked Atlantic influence, in one of the coolest areas of Rioja, with cold winters, mild summers and long, mild autumns. The large temperature variation between day and night causes a slow maturation, which is very suitable for the synthesis of polyphenols and aromatic development.
